Just notice that Disney has raise the price to park at Walt Disney World from Eight to Nine dollars for Cars & Motorcycles. They also raise the Parking Fees for other vehicles (Including Buses and RV's) up one dollar as well. :moped:

Fuel cost. It cost more to store all that gas in one spot. (the gas in the fuel tanks :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Does anybody ever pay for parking ? On-site guests- free. AP holders - free. DDE holders - free with validation. Feel like wasting 30 minutes or so to save $9.00 - park at DTD. Want to ride a boat to MK - tell the guard you're going to eat breakfast at Whispering Canyon.

If you can't find a way to avoid the parking fee, you're not trying very hard.

Went to the MNSSHP the other nite, whipped out my annual pass at the booth and they said we had to pay to park for a special event. We had to pay for the party, and then pay to park too???

We did get there just before the event started but I won't do that again!!!!!

The parking is never free, you're just seeing the fee wrapped up in some other bill.

Very bad form. I would be ashamed to lie in order to beat the system.

If $9.00 is going to set you back that much-then you should not be on a Disney vacation.

So, what if its $45, wont set me back, but its ridiculous. Everything is has a breaking point.

I'm a bit confused by this. Just because we may feel something is too expensive, does not give us the right to steal it.

I don't really think that was the gist of your post, but I'm not sure what you mean by "breaking point". :drinking:

Breaking Point = point at which the average guest will no longer be willing to pay for parking fees and will find alternative ways to transit to the parks (i.e. Taxi, Bus, Skateboard...)

I'll tell you one thing, Card Walker is having a heart attack right now. that's about 9 times more then he would find acceptable (Disney War reference)

I agree that everyone has a breaking point, but part of the reason it costs $9 to park is that they have taken into account the percentage of people trying to beat the system and have included that 'extra' into the pricing. Just think if people were honest maybe it would only cost a more reasonable amount to park. So maybe the creation of the breaking point has to do with our own doings.

With all the parasites trying to game the transportation system, maybe it's time Disney goes back to checking resort ID's.

...Or prhaps parking should just be free. As Yoho pointed out free is never really the case anyway so just eliminate this pick pocket imitation and adjust the expense.

I agree, just find out how much you make on parking ,and add it to the ticket prices. For a family of 4 that would be $2.25 a day. If your going to get in my pocket, get in and get out. Don't keep coming back for more.

If no one is parking in the lots, who do all of those cars belong to?

I have no problem paying the fee as long as I get to keep using Disney transportation. (As it says I can on my hopper.)

I vote for returning the fee to $8.00 and charging to park at DTD. Halve it if validated with a restaurant purchase or something. If I could get from parks to DTD, then I wouldn't have to drive there!!

I was there a month ago today. It was only $7 then. That is a jump (in a short time) compared to years previous.

When was the last time you saw a WDW parking lot ( with the exception of DTD ) anywhere near to capacity ?
