Walt Disney World now hiring!

Lets all rent a house and work there for a year!!:cheer2:

I apologize, i seem to have trouble making myself understood on this board. i very seriously want to retire to this job..........i was just making the comparison of being young and dreaming of confetti being rained down on you in your "very own" parade and the realization later in life that the closest you came to that was dropping someone off "at" a parade.
I got it. I thought it was very funny, too. :)

My husband tells me that as soon as we can pay down all our debt and the youngest two are off to college, we can move to the Happiest Place on Earth. Hopefully they will still be hiring. I work as an IT consultant now but am happy to leave all this behind. :thumbsup2

A little off topic (but not much), if you want to pay down debt check out Dave Ramsey (www.daveramsey.com). He has some real down to earth advice when it comes to money management.

That is a great idea! I want to drive the tram from the parking lot into DHS. Or maybe be front desk staff at one of the resorts!! Think how happy you would be to get people checked in and started on their vacation!!

A friend of mine drives the tram at MK and he LOVES it.

I started working full time at Disney about 6 weeks ago and I LOVE IT. It's not a lot of $$, but you get "paid" in so many other ways.

If only I were gutsy and care-free enough to leave everything behind.........

We made the plunge 6 mos ago. Last year (about this time actually) we were told the house we'd been living in for 7 yrs wasn't going to be available to us anymore and we'd have to move. We figured with the housing market being so depressed it wouldn't hurt to try. We found the perfect house and haven't looked back once. Our original plan was to wait until all the kids were in college but we didn't know what housing was going to look like then.

Congrats!

My sister has an interview on Monday! I'm so excited, I hope she gets it!

Good luck to her!

I applied and interviewed in Jan. I work full time so my availability wasn't as great as they look for and I was not offered a postion. You have to have a minimum of 3 full 24 hr periods (5am-5am the following day) to be considered for any position. Funny thing, DH got a post card inviting him to apply, he has health issues and can't but it was still funny that they didn't offer me a spot but now they're targeting him.

I have plans to move to Orlando. Ideally I'd like to do it in about 3 years. I want to save up $ for a down-payment on a house. Although it's getting more and more difficult to wait. It'd also be hard to leave my job. It's a great job with great people and I make well above the average salary for what I do. Tonight I was texting with my friend who lives in Orlando and he keeps encouraging me to move down there and get a job with Disney. I might just start keeping an eye on openings and play it by ear.

Lucky for her she's unemployed so she's got that going for her. :goodvibes
