Read the Q&A in the Orlando Sentinel with the author! Seems interesting! Debating whether or not to buy it! Has anyone read this book? Anyone recommend it?

I own the book, but haven't had time to start it yet.
I have heard several interviews with Sam and saw him speak on this topic once.

I would highly recommend this book for a fascinating look at what Walt really wanted to build in Florida. If you are new to Disney history- this will be an eye opener.

I actually read/reviewed it during the writing process and wrote a review/quote on the back cover.

It's a real detailed book by Sam.

He worked with my Disney class the first year I offered it and we've become good friends. His research and knowledge on Walt's vision is amazing.
It will be different than any book you've read about WDW before...but well worth it IMHO!

It's on my list to read. They author did a walk around WDW with Len Testa which you can download on the Touring Plans website. They're very interesting and I'll definitely look at the parks design differently in the future.

Highly technical but very informative and well researched. If you want to see how all the Disney threads wove together I think this book will do it for you.

I have read the book and was very disappointed in it. I got about 3/4 of he way through it and finally decided it was a lost cause.

He had been our speaker at the World Chapter of the Disneyana Fan Club in early May. I had kind of mixed emotions while he was there but did decide to buy the book.

Previous speakers we have recently had flogging their books were Chad Emerson who wrote Project Future (which was about everything leading up top the The Vault of Walt[/I] which was wonderful.
