I'm looking at buying a new digital camera and if i wait till im in the States i can save quite a bit of money (about £50-£60/$80-$90) for the camera i like which is on the Walmart website.
Unfortunately it isn't stocked instore and of course I can't get it shipped to my home as i'm in the UK, but I noticed they do a ship to store service so was thinking I could have it shipped to the store in Anaheim (first stop on my holiday) and pick it up from there.
So my question is really (after waffling on) Walmart website gives a week long delievery date, so if i order when delievery is showing for the week before I arrive i'm hoping it will be at the store ready to collect on september 1st. For anyone that has used this service before how accurate is the deliever dates? does it usually take longer than stated? and if it was to arrive say on the first date during the expected week (i hope im still making sense) will they keep it till i pick it up even if its say a week later? i don't want to get there and they have sent it back to a warehouse or something.

They are pretty accurate with the delivery dates. Never off by more than a day, in my experience.

They also hold onto it for a couple weeks. I don't recall the exact length, but they give you a bit of time. The email that tells you your product has arrived, will tell you how long they will hold it until. I would think, you could even call, and have them hold it longer, if it's not long enough. Not positive on that though.

I remember the kids got bikes for Christmas, I had them shipped site to store, then we lost all power for a week, and it delayed me a week or so to get them.. it was not a problem at all.
