Walmart/ Target thread

Combining Target coupons with manufacturers coupons is a new venture for me also, and it has been great. It just had not dawned on me to that before! So - they seem to change the coupons each week, and therefore I have started printing multiple copies of the coupons each week for future use. It has been really increased the time spent on coupons for me, but it is well worth it in the end! :yay:

Oh wow... I have never had that happen.. better luck at Target.. I would have asked to see a manager.. as long as it is not a photocopy-they are supposed to take it.. It is in their policy... I will try to post their coupon policy.. I have made a copy and stuck it in my coupon binder

Thanks for all the great responses! I really think my cashier was grumpy and thought I was trying to rip them off... I'm not an experienced couponer so I will do better next time!:goodvibes

If they won't allow an overage, they can adjust the coupon down to the .97 for the bars. ask them to do this next time.
or go to cvs, :)

Thanks! I will do that next time:)

I work as a cashier at walmart and we really are starting to buckle down because there are a lot of fake printed coupons. Unfortunately they are refusing some of the real ones also. I LOVE the idea of this thread thank you OP!! I try my hardest to put these sale/coupon combos together but never do as good of a job :confused3

The last time I tried to use a printed coupon at Target, she called the manager over and said they were not taking these anymore. All the people in line looked at me like I was trying to pull something over on Target. There were legit coupons for $1.00 off $7.00 hair color!

Target only takes their own printables and only one per transaction. They changed that policy awhile back.

As for walmart there is what they are supposed to do and then what they make up along the way ;). *rolling my eyes* I avoid walmart like the plague but if it's free I will stop in if I have to. Just keep the policy with you and ask for a manager if you have an issue.

Some grocery stores and target and cvs also sell the buddies soaps for $1 so I take those coupons elsewhere to avoid the issue. They are great soap!

My Kroeger will no longer take printed coupons. I understand why but, mine were always 100% legit.

I got the Glucerna and Huggies coupon to print off just fine but when I went on to Purell and the rest of the ones from that site, it just gives me a screen that says please wait and never prints them. What am i doing wrong?

I like this idea. I don't do CVS because they are not convenient for me, but I do hit Target about once a week.

I occasionally get great deals at Target. I once found shampoo and conditioner two packs on clearance for $1.52.... plus each two pack had a coupon for $1 off! So I paid 26 cents per bottle for shampoo and conditioner! I bought EVERY ONE they had and then I hit another Target a few days later and bought all of theirs! This was last July and I STILL have several bottles in the cupboard!

Before Christmas I found Ponds Skin wipes (like for removing make up) on clearance.... about $1.65 pack, plus each pack had a small coupon (25 cents if I recall properly) and each pack had a bonus 15 wipe pack attached. I bought several of them and used them as extra gifts for DD and DSIL. And they have come in handy to keep in my gym bag.

So keep the Target deals coming! I will post when/if I find any more great deals.

BTW, sometimes it pays to take something to the scanner. On more than one occasion I found found at the register that things scan at a LOWER clearance price than what they were marked. ..................P

maybe I missed an explanation somewhere, but what does possible overage mean???

When the coupon is for more off then the price of the item. For example, you have $1 off of xyz, but the actual price of xyz is $0.95. There is a 5 cent overage.

Thanks! I printed my coupons and am headed off to WallyWorld to redeem them. :goodvibes

it means that if you have a $5 coupon and the cereal is $3.94 (which was the case for me) then the cashier might not adjust the coupon price and you will get another $1.96 in discounts off your purchase

My mom worked at Walmart too as a cashier and she said they are very strict! She said there is alot of fraud and people also trying to use expired coupons. She once took a .25 one by mistake and got written up! She offered to just give the quarter but they wouldn't do it. She reminds me on to look at my coupons, not that I try to do that but she says the cashier could get in trouble.

Thanks OP!!!!
Does anyone know if babiesrus/toysrus take/combine manufacturer's coupon with theirs?
The reason I asked is because they have these coupons for:
$2 off ALL 7th gen or Earth's Best diaper packs
$2 off ANY 3 baby wash, lotion, shampoo, powder, diaper rash items
