Walmart Savings Thread

I dont' know if this has already been posted but the TAG reading system is on clearance at my walmart for $25. I then used the $10 off coupon for it and the $5 off coupon for a book. I got a book and system for $25 instead of $65. I also got twister hopscotch for around $5 with the coupon.

I have a favor to ask of a fellow DISer - well anyone who has the coupon bag at their Walmart. We don't have a portrait studio here and I asked at the photo counter tonight (DH asked while I was checking out) and the guy had no idea what we were talking about. He gave DH a slip of paper with some kind of coupon on it (I haven't read through it yet), but it clearly wasn't the bag of coupons some have reported getting. I'm willing to pay for time/postage of anyone who's able to pick one up and mail it to me. Please PM me and I'll give you my address.

I went to Walmart Today...

Here is what I purchased:
2 Kraft 16oz Dressings
3, 12pack Tucks (Im pregnant, im sure ill need these once I deliver)
1 100 calorie pin wheels (Impulse buy-- they looked yummy)
1 Glucerna Cereal
2 boxes of Snuggle Dryer Sheets
1 bag of Fresh Express Salad
1 Tomato
3 Yo-Plait Yo-Plus+ 4pack with Probiotics


Here are my coupons:
2, $1.50 off Kraft Salad Dressing (making them .08 cents each)
3, $3 off any Tucks/KY product (FREE w/ Overage)
1, $5 off Glucerna Cereal (FREE w/ Overage)
2, $1 off any Snuggle detergent or dryer product (Making them .87 cents each)
1, $1 off any Fresh Express Salad Blend or Kit (making it .78 cents)
3, $1 off Yo-Plait Yo-Plus+ Yogurt (making 2 of them .87 cents and the other $1.08- blueberry always costs more)

My total before taxes: $5.53 (not bad, huh?)
Savings: $23.00

I went shopping today after not going for 2 weeks and knowing the next two weeks are going to be very busy too and spent over $200. Almost everything I bought I either had a coupon or was on sale. I get all smug thinking I did really well but then i come here and see how well you did and realize I need to learn some more.

No way, anyone can do it! The Sunday paper (i.e. Smartsource, Proctor & Gamble, and Red Plum coupons) in addition to your printer can be your very best friend. If you are interested in knowing where any of the coupons came from just ask

My local grocery store (not a common one) had a bunch of manu coupons in a small cardboard container near the salads about a month ago. I took a ton because we buy bagged salad like its going out of style! If your interested i could trade you some... just PM me.

The only one that was on red plum (Internet printable) was the Snuggle.

The Kraft Salad Dressing coupon isnt printable, it was in the Sunday paper about 2 or 3 weeks ago.

The Sunday paper coupons can be your best friend. Its definitely worth the cost of a paper on Sunday just to get the coupons- hang onto them- and see what goes on sale.

I did want to mention that a lot of people who take the paper are not interested in coupons at all-- and often throw them out when they are finished with the paper. If you know someone (family member, co-worker) who wouldnt mind saving their coupons for you- thats a great way to get them too!

It was not regional-- i checked today and the coupon had been removed- it probably had reached its limit.
