Wall-E got me thinking...

Awhile back there was a thread (Theme Parks board, maybe?) about what, today, Walt would be proud of.

After seeing Wall-E (and seeing the documentary The Pixar Story a few days before), I think Walt would be pretty proud of Pixar. I'm currently reading Neil Gabler's bio of Walt and am in the early years, pre-Snow White and the atmosphere of Disney Studios then seems very close to that of Pixar. The camaraderie, the closeness, the demanding work ethic, all seem very similar.

So here's my suggestion: Lasseter to replace Iger!!! What do you think???

I don't see that happening. Lasseter would loose his ability and time to play with all of his toys, Pixar, Immagineering, ect.

I think Iger is doing a fine job. He is bringging in the talent, like Lasseter, who seem to revitalize the areas that they are working with.

Since Iger has become CEO, all the divisions of Disney have made changes that seem to be working well. I do miss some of the publications that used to be avalible, but I'll live.
