Walking to Universal Studios

We are staying at the Hampton Inn closest to Universal Orlando, can anyone please confirm whether it is possible to walk to Universal Studios from the hotel and how long does it take.

Looking at the map there are 3 Hampton Inns close to Universal.

Hampton Inn Universal on Windhover Drive (north of Universal)
Hampton Inn Universal South off South Kirkman Road
Hampton Inn & Suites North I-Drive

I wouldn't like to walk to Universal from any of these as you have some major roads to cross and American roads are not designed very well for pedestrians even when there are crossing lights.

Have a look on Google maps satelite view to see the sort of distance and roads you are faced with.

If you haven't got a car I would get a taxi, it won't cost that much from any of the above hotels and will be a lot safer and more comfortable

Hi Tim, thankyou for your reply. We are staying on Windhover Drive, my suspicions were aroused after looking on google earth. Some of the roads look pretty major.

which is opposite Wet And Wild
If your hotel is anywhere near Wet And Wild then it is very easy to walk
It only took us 15-20 minutes at the most (normal walking speed)
Very safe there are obviously a couple of roads to cross but there are push button crossings on them
