Please bare with my neurotic-ness but as I have not been to DL in 12 years, I feel very sketchy with the park layout.

We will be touring DLR October 3-5th. We have one EE day. Since it's been 12 years and I am a fan of the old subs, I am on a mission to see Nemo. It may be a long while to the next trip so I want to try and see it with a minimal wait so we can see as much of everything else as possible.

We will be at the park EARLY ready for the sprint! From the front gates do you take that main pathway to the right/front of the castle then head to the right again and back behind (I am assuming it's behind) Matterhorn to the body of water on the attractions map?

Do I have it right? Is that the quickest way?

I know it's early to tell but I from what I am reading, I am assuming we should use our EE for this? Or not cause it may be died down enough by then? Just can't imagine missing it as it might be another 12 years til I return.

Thanks!

I have a feeling, based on what I've been hearing, that the lines for Nemo will have died down a LOT come October. Keep in mind that it's high season right now - all the rides have loooooong lines, but Nemo is worst because it's so new. Couple that "now not so new" ride with lower season crowds, and it's likely the line-ups won't be so bad.

We're going in early December. We're staying at the GCH and so can use EE each day it's offered (unless they cancel this extra perk before then) - while we will likely do Nemo on one EE day, our first plan is to use EE to ride Peter Pan, mainly (man, that ride ALWAYS has a long line, no matter what!!).

I agree with the PP that the lines will have died down by Oct, but still I'd be sprinting toward Nemo if I were you. We did Nemo the first week it opened and I found this route perfect, since everyone else will head through Tomorrowland.
1. Head up Main Street toward Matterhorn.
2. As soon as you pass the Little Mermaid character spot, take a right between that and Matterhorn.
3. Follow the path right to the Nemo queue.

Good Luck! :thumbsup2

We were just there last week & the route you described is exactly how the Nemo sprinters made their fast track back to the attraction. :yay:

We were headed toward Fantasyland & went straight down Main & thru the castle. All the Nemo riders went down Main but veered to the right of the castle and back behind the Matterhorn.

I agree w/the PP & would hope that by Oct the lines would have died down some. FWIW, when we were there last Wed morning for the gate opening at 8:00 a.m. we went straight to Peter Pan, and then Mr. Toad's & then Dumbo & a few other rides w/in Fantasyland. We were the first ones on the rides & probably finished about 5 rides in FL w/in 25 min before we headed over to the Matterhorn. We got in line at the Matterhorn (which only had about a 10 min wait at that time), and the line for Nemo was already stretched out past the attraction, and lined up past the Matterhorn & continued down the street around the mountain & toward the castle. I think the Nemo line easily grew to a 2+ hour wait w/in 20-30 min of park opening.
