Walking to Gardenwalk for dinner!!!

My daughter and I are planning our 1st trip to Disneyland this June. Does anyone know how far of a walk it is from Fairfield Inn across from the Disneyland enterance to the Gardenwalk. We would like to do some shopping and eating there. We will not be renting a car. Just wondered if it is within walking distance from our hotel!

I would guesstimate about 10-20 minutes to walk. I don't know for sure, I've never done it, we drive to DL so we always have our car with us.

Definitely walkable. We stayed at a hotel right next to Gardenwalk and it took us 15-20 minutes from our hotel to the gate at DL so your walk would be less than that. I would think maybe 10-15 minutes. It's not that far.

If you have an ART pass you can use the ART bus to Garden Walk. Garden Walk is served by the same bus that serves Hojo. I think it is line red, but not 100% sure. It will drop you off just across the street from Cheesecake Factory. To return you can get on same place but then get off at HOJO and walk back to Fairfield. You can catch the bus at Transportation center if you want to go right from park.

A few summers ago we walked from the Embassy Suites South to DTD, then to Gardenwalk and back to our hotel. That was a block out day for us, so no walking in the parks. Yours is definately closer and a much easier walk. There are several good eating places there, but we didn't do any shopping and it wasn't because we weren't trying. I have to say that is the crummiest place for stores. They are all clothing related and if you are not in the market for new shoes, a new outfit, ect. then you are pretty much out of luck. There was a candy store that we looked in that was half way interesting, but not as good as Powells that we have here so we didn't buy anything there either. I don't know if foot traffic has picked up at Gardenwalk but when we went it was pretty lonely. Which is a shame because it has great potential.

Last week it took us about 15-20 minutes to walk from GardenWalk to GCH - I think your hotel would be closer.

We walked there from Hojos and it took about 15 or so mins.

Thanks for all the info. I think we will be fine walking there to Gardenwalk and all the places in between. With this being our 1st visit to Disneyland, I didn't feel comfortable renting and driving a car, maybe next time.

From Fairfield Inn it's about a half mile to the north entrance of Gardenwalk off of Disney Way. The majority of restaurants are on the south end, facing Katella, but entering from the north end you can see the shops, movie theatre, etc. There's a bowling alley too.
