I need to get a good pair of walking shoes for our trip in December. Please tell what brand you own and the comfort level of the shoes. After walking around Home Depot yesterday, I realized my cheap pair of Keds aren't going to provide me with the support and comfort that I need.

Thanks in advance,

Theresa

I went down to Orlando last year in Nov and had on some hundred dollar Nike's. Well, after 2 days my feet were very blistered and in alot of pain. We went to Walmart and out of desperation I picked up some Dr Scholl's sneakers for 25.00 and they are wonderful!!! I only use them now on our monthly trips to Orlando. I don't want to wear them out too soon. It was so surprising to me that I could find so much comfort in a pair of Walmart shoes!

I love my Easy Spirit walk/run sneakers, they are the best. I use to have problems with my feet being really sore but ever since finding these I haven't had any problems, I could walk all day in them.

While its nice to get opinions, please do your feet a favor and actually try on the shoes and let your feet decide. Keep in mind that everybody's feet are different so what is comfortable for somebody else may be painful for you. Also keep in mind that shoe manufacturers make many different models of shoes so you can't blanket state that X makes a good shoe.

Plan on stopping at a mall on your way home from work some day (your feet are largest later in the day) and stop at one of the athletic shoe stores. Try on many different brands/models and look (feel) for one that your feet are immediately happy in.

I love the Rockport World Tour line of walking shoes. I've walked all over Disney World in them many times. I usually alternate my world tour shoes with a pair of Rockport sneakers--it's good to let the shoes breathe.

I love my New Balance shoes. I had to get mens shoes this time. I needed solid black shoes and the women's didn't have them. And they fit perfectly.
Standing on my feet all day is not fun, but at least my feet don't kill me at the end of the day anymore.

I'm a big fan of Clarkes shoes (made in England, I think). Very comfortable and lots of attractive styles. The more you wear them, the more they conform to your feet. And they are of good quality- the pair I wear the most now I've had for over a year and they are still in really good shape. I'll definitely be taking them in Dec.

Mine are Easy Spirits all the time too. They've made every Dis trip with me.

Another vote for New Balance. I love them. I made the mistake several years ago of wearing my Keds to WDW and my feet were in major pain.   I learned my lesson and always take a pair of good walking shoes.

I use Easy Spirit, DD just got Merrill's that she says are fabulous, DH likes New Balance.

Thank you everyone for the replies. I plan on getting them well in advance of the trip to break them in before we go.

I'm also a New Balance lover.:sunny:

I've walked many parks in Orlando with these walking shoes and nothing compares to them at all.::yes::
