Walking path from SSR to DTD

I will be visiting soon and was wondering about the new walkway from SSR to DTD. Open yet? If not, I think we could still just walk out to the sidewalk. Any recent reports?

It officially opened last Friday. Haven't tried it yet, but it looks to be much more direct than the old route.
