Walking path at Port Orleans FQ

Hi everyone,
Next week we'll be going to WDW and staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. Is there a well lighted and much used walking path at that resort? We've stayed at Carribean Beach and love the walk around the lake; and we've stayed at Boardwalk and like that walk also. But, when we were at Wilderness Lodge, the walking path seemed too woodsy and out of the way, and also not in the open like I like. Any information on walking around POFQ would be much appreciated! Thanks.

There is a very nice walking path located by the Sassagoula River - it is lighted and it goes from FQ to riverside. I would get up early each day and walk down the path to Riverside and back - round trip took me about 20 minutes. It was lovely with the morning sun shining on the river! Ahhh, much nicer than my morning walks around the neighborhood here.
