I have heard that due to the location of the rooms at the BWV and BCV there is alot of walking. What do you , who have stayed there say ? DH and I could use the exercise but I figure you get enough of that in the parks ! So which resort do you walk more : BWV or BCV ??:earsgirl:

They are both pretty similiar, one is closer to Epcot and the other is closer to MGM. But both resorts have boats to these parks if you don't want to walk but IMHO waiting for the boat to Epcot is a waste of time from either resort; the International Gateway is very close to both resorts and there is never a long line to get in so entering into Epcot this way first thing in the morning or leaving at night after Illumiantions is very pleasant.
Both resorts are beautiful resorts in a fabulous location. I have stayed in every WDW resort but 2 and there is no more walking required at BWV or BCV then there is at any other WDW resort. Some resorts you walk farther to get to a store or bus stop and others you walk farther in an air conditioned hallway to get to your room.
If you have never stayed in the Epcot resort area before you are in for a real treat. It is wonderful. It is so convenient and at night time it is so pretty to walk around the lake with the lights shining over the water, the music playing on the boardwalk, watching the people walking around and the friendship boats pulling in and out, it is lovely.

BWV & BCW THEY ARE GREAT PLACES TO STAY NOT TO MUCH WALKING BUT JUST ENOUGH REMEMBER THE BAKERY AT THE BWV YOU WILL NEED THE WALK ,ANY WAY ITS A NICE WALK ALONG THE LAKE AT ANY RATE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WILL LOVE IT

It took us 4 minutes to walk from BCV to Epcot. BWV appear to go on forever and BCV seems to be a smaller resort.

The walk is not bad from either resort to Epcot. At BCV, it does seem to be more of a walk to SAB and the boat than to Luna Park and the boat at BWV. It is shorter to MGM from BWV. Obviously, it is longer to walk to the Boardwalk from BCV than BWV.

From the BCV, if you walk out past the BC rooms near the underpass (along the perimeter of the resort), it may be about the same distance to catch a boat at Epcot as to catch a boat at the YC dock. But if you are going to Epcot, you are there. I wouldn't waste the time taking a boat from the BCV to Epcot.

In the building, it did seem to be quite a distance from the one set of elevators at the BWV to any room. (Ask Richyams about this one.) At the BCV, it didn't seem as far, even from the farthest rooms. May just be the perspective.

You also do more uphills at the BWV than the BCV walking to Epcot.
