Walking from onsite hotels?

Sorry to be dense, but where exactly is PBH in all that? We leave in about 24 hours for our first trip to Universal and I need to understand that map.

Not dense--PBH isn't in this pic. It's off to the north (above the limits of the pic) along with HRH and all of the Studios. Sorry I don't have a map for that area....

That's where that picture comes from. Just type in Universal Orlando in the box and it will come in. You can look at the aerial view and even get walking views if you pull the little man from the top of the zoom bar down onto the map.

Thank you posting that. You've totally given me ideas for shaving some time off our walk into the park from off-site. We're all about the sneaky shortcuts.

Our first couple of stays at HRH, there was a shortcut through the pool area to the Studios. It seemed to cut a few minutes of the walk. The last couple times there, the pool gate was locked and we had to walk around. Does anyone know what the status is now? Thanks!

the shortcut was stopped in 2007. it has not been reopened since.
(in 2008, it had a locked gate and a chain around it.)

it used to be the way i would take when staying at hrh as it really cut the time to get to the park.

you could go out that gate behind the slide and cut thru the employee parking lot.
you ended up right on the sidewalk to the park then.
