Walking from Epcot to Boardwalk?

How long a walk is it from the Epcot International Gateway to the Boardwalk?

Proabably 10 minutes once you leave the gate until you get to the ESPN Club.

After exiting the International Gateway it's easier to take the lower walk by the water. The upper level walk is on an incline and after all the walking you do in Epcot it's much easier to use the lower walk.
Also, go left on the first bridge you come to to get to the Boardwalk. If you go straight past the bridge you will come upon the Beach Club and then the Yacht Club. The Boardwalk is across the lake from them.

If you take the lower walkway, you will pass under the bridge that takes you over to the Boardwalk Inn's shops and restaurants. If you are going there, you have two choices: either take the ten minute walk that will go up the incline and bear left to that area, or you can wait for the Friendship boats and take the ride to the Boardwalk boat dock right in front of the Boardwalk Inn.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have a few new questions.

We are looking to go to the boardwalk for a few hours and then go back to Epcot for Illuminations. Where are the boats located that take you to the boarkwalk? It will be me, DH and DD's 10 and 3, so the boats might be much easier. I have never been through the International Gateway before, we have always gone through the main entrance. Are there signs pointing me in the direction we need to go?

The boats are off to the left as you depart the International Gateway. The are not the most efficient method. You can walk quicker then they will get you there.

No, the boats aren't effecient at all. However, after walking EPCOT (Every Person Comes Out Tired!) and the Boardwalk, the boat ride is a nice relaxing way to just sit and breathe for a few minutes. With two kids, I would definitely recommend the boat ride rather than adding more walking to your day. Twenty minutes on the boat might give you just the little charge you will need to get you through the end of Illuminations. Have fun!

You can't miss them. The boats leave Epcot right as you leave the IG (look to the left for the docking station), and stop at the YC, the BW (mid-Boardwark), and then on to the Swan and MGM. The docks are in plain site.

Thanks for the information everyone!! I'll see how we feel about taking the boat when we get there. It's nice to have the option if we are tired.

It was a nice hike at least in the aug heat it was...but at the same time enjoyable
