How long does it take to walk from the Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom?

How long does it take to go by Monorail?

It takes about 10 minutes to walk there. When you leave the hotel you have to do the whole loop to get to the MK, but when you leave the park the Contemp is the first stop so the monorail is usually quicker from the park.

As reported, it is a 10 minute walk and the best way, IMHO, to get back and forth between the CR and MK.

As for the monorail, we only used it once to get to the MK when we stayed at the CR. Once was enough - it took about 30 minutes . For some reason we had to wait a looooong time for a monorail, and then it stopped mid track several times. Granted, this was unusual. However, the monorail trip to the MK will be longer than the walk. It should take about 20 minutes give or take as you have to go all the way around and make 3 stops. The monorail back to the CR is very quick.

During our stay at the CR, we enjoyed the 10 minute walk to the MK. We usually took the resort monorail back to the CR, as it is the first stop. It was a relaxing way to return to the hotel and a fun experience, too. I'll never grow tired of the approach and entrance into the CR on the monorail!

It's a very nice walk for going to the MK. It took us about 8 minutes. At the end of the day, we usually took the monorail back to CR since it is the first stop.

It is a BEAUTIFUL walk! The scenery is fabulous, with shaped and trimmed shrubs and full, lush trees. The walkway is paved with "engraved bricks" from past guests. We have our own brick, in front of the entrance to the MK. So, we truly enjoy "reading" the bricks as we stroll back. We even make a game out of it (First one to find Connecticut...etc.). Before you know it...You've reached your destination! Enjoy.

We love to walk from the Contemporary. That is one of the pros for us staying there.
