Is there anything to do within walking distance to Universal hotels?

On previous Disney trips we have had a car service drop us off and return for us a week later. I am wondering how much time we could spend at Universal doing this.. and if there are other things to do that we could easily walk to?

Thanks for any input!

Not much around the area you can walk too. You could walk to Wet N' Wild but it's about a mile. There is a shuttle bus to Sea World Florida (SWF), and from there you could catch another shuttle to Busch Gardens Tampa (BGT), so that's two days of parks without needing a car. Once you're on International Drive, you can take the trolley. I'd say 4 days if you don't have a car.

Just looked at the I-Trolley web site. It makes a stop at Major Blvd at the Radisson center, stop #5. From there you can get to I-Drive and a bunch of things.

well allowing a day a piece for IOA/US/WW/SW/CW/BG (free bus to WW,BG and SW), that is 6 days right there.

About a quarter mile maybe less is I-Drive that is a fun day just walking up and down that road. There are fun places to stop and see.

Thank you for the trolley info. I had no idea it existed!

Sha-lyn could you tell me where the bus pick up is or how to locate info on the bus? and what are CW and BG???

THANKS!!

If you are staying at one of the onsite hotels there is a FREE shuttle to Wet N Wild and to Seaworld.

BG...Busch Gardens
CW... City Walk

The bus stop at the HRH is just off the first floor. If I remember right it is very near the valet parking lot. It's been a while. I think this is right. If you go out the front lobby doors and take the walkway to your right you'll come to a set of steps. Go down the steps. The bus stop is near the steps (there is also an elevator there if needed). I don't know where it is for the other hotels

If you are up for thrill rides next door to Wet-n-Wild it Katanga. It looks like a propeller blade and has 2 seats mounted on both sides of it. It is suppose to be a blast to do. There are several go-cart tracks along International also. Across from Wet-n-Wild there is an extremly large KBToy store with plenty of other shopping in there I think it is called (point Orlando).

I was wondering if the shuttle went to Wet N' Wild (WnW) but wasn't sure. That makes things easy for hotel guests. Take the shuttle to WnW, and from there you can visit all the sites on I-Drive using the trolley, get to Sea World Florida (SWF), and even take the Lynx bus from Sea World to the Disney Ticket Transportation Center (TTC). Here's the Lynx bus web site.

The route from SWF to TTC is #50.

just realized I didn't say that the Lobby at HRH is actually on the 2nd Floor. It is at ground level at the front of the hotel, but at the one side and back there is a floor below the lobby.
