Being on my own, wanting at least once to watch the end of night shows at the parks, but not being a driver and no, please dont say just use Uber, is the walk back to I-Drive well lit and as far as crossing the roads, just like walking home in London just with wider roads and different looking traffic lights?

My plan for my first day is to walk to the park in the morning, walk back to my hotel (The Rosen Inn closest to Universal) early afternoon to get my directions clear, have a break, and then head back to the park for the last few hours.

Its only because I'm on my own, and will be walking (Cant afford Ubers willy nilly) that I need to know how to be safe and look after myself, having said all that, what time does it get dark in Orlando at the beginning of March?

I thank you all in advance for what I know will be very constructive replies, getting used to that on these boards!

Spike.

Sunset in March will be around 6.30 until March 10th when it changes to around 7.30pm.

As for the roads, they are as safe to walk on as anywhere else.

You do see a lot of people making the walk from the parks back to the top end of I Drive areas.........you won’t be walking alone, and there are crossings including at the large intersection between I Drive and Universal Boulevard.....

You can walk it, although it is quite a walk. There are sidewalks down Universal Blvd. and I-Drive. The Rosen Inn might have a free shuttle to Universal. Shuttles tend to have odd hours. I would check with the hotel. Still, check the shuttle schedule anyway. Personally, the last thing I want to do after walking around the parks all day is to walk back to the hotel. I suppose if you are used to walking around London, you should be ok. Just watch for traffic and don't run into the street without looking both ways! I've seen too many pedestrians cross and not look at all!

I do walk a lot in my day to day life it has to be said, and my job has me on my feet all day so the walk home at the end of the day wont faze me and I'll be taking plenty of breaks each day, to rest and watch the world go by, which I love doing anyway.
