We've only stayed at ASSports and FW. This year we were going to try CBR--two connecting rooms. Also, this year, my 78 yo df is coming along with us.

From reading other posts, I'm thinking that maybe there would be less walking if we stayed at POFQ than at CBR. Also, is it less "confusing" to find your way around the resort?

I'm thinking that if df wants a break, someone could ride the bus back to the resort with him, but then, if he wanted to check out the resort on his own, do you think POFQ would be easier to get around? Also, is the walk to the bus stop/food court easier?

Thanks and pixie dust to you all!

POFQ would definitely be the best choice. It has the least amount of distance between buildings, food court, lobby, and pool. Coronado Springs is sooo far spread out. We did not like that resort at all.

Yes, POFQ would be easier. It's so much smaller. Even if you get the room that's as far away from the main building as you can get, you still won't be that far.

One difference with POFQ is that there is only one bus stop. It could be a little bit of a walk, but not too bad. I'd put a request in when you reserve your room for a room that's as close to the main building as possible. CBR has 7 bus stops, so you're never far from one, but it can be very confusing, especially since they don't always do them in the same order.

I stayed at the CBR with my family, including my DFather, who is handicapped. The CM's made sure that our rooms were in a convenient location, close to the food court and pool area. We phoned them ahead, and they were more than accomodating. The CBR is quite large, but we were close to everything. I would reccomend that you phoe the resort you plan to stay in and inform the manager of your special needs. As long as you are close to everything, you can stay anywhere. They have never disappointed us.
Have A Wonderful Trip!!

Lucky you to get your DF to go...I tried to mine to go, but he has bad knees and worrys about walking too. I told him we'd get him a wheelchair, but he still wouldn't. He is considering a Disney Cruise though.;) I'm thinking CBR would be pretty good because there is a bus stop at each set of buildings and even an internal bus that could take him to the food court & such. Just a thought.:D

I love both resorts, but overall, the carribean is much larger and if you dot get lucky or request a certain building, you may have some long walks to the foodcourt unless you just drive from your building to the food court. Everything is close in POFQ.

Just want to make sure df has a magical vacation. You know, I may get a different view of WDW from his point of view, considering we usually do our vacations commando style.

Thanx again and pixie dust to you all.:D
