walkie talkies

I have read some negative messages on these boards about the use of walkie talkies. My DH bought a pair that have 99 channels (I think they are channels...) and said that this will alleviate the problems that people have of hearing other conversations, etc. Has anyone else had success with these kind of walkie talkies?

We use ours and even though you have to look for channels, they are worth it. Our older teens can go off and do their thing while we do the "old folk" thing. I think you can get lots of different opinions but I'd give it a try.

we used ours which only had a few cgannels, and yes you heard other confersations but it was one of the best things we did. The parks are big and it was cery nice to arrange seperations and meetings.
