After many visits to disney, we have decided to bring walkie talkie's due to large group traveling together. purchased motorola 14 channel's. I've heard that we should have the type with additional codes for privacy.
I was wondering if anyone has used the 14 channels with success or if they had trouble with interference.
Any comments are appreciated. thanks

there is a lot of traffic the code are a big help

i didnt know you were allowed to bring walkietalkies, are you alowd any kind? saw a deal at walmart for the two way radios for $10 each...do you think those would work? can you rent them at the park, and whats the rental fee if so.... thanks for your help, its so weird i came on here to ask that question and it was a section on the foroms.lol. 21 days and counting!!!!!:earsgirl:

some things to consider........

How many bells and whistles do you really want....

IMO the main thing you need is SUB CHANNELS......

I would not buy a radio without them....... it would be next to useless in disney
to much cross talk

The Ranger radios sold commonly at WalMart are basicly hit or miss... I have heard wonderful reviews, and BAD reviews.... sometimes from the same person! Apperently from what I understand is that quality varies per radio... literally. A friend bought 2 same style Ranger, and one was a Dream, and the other worked intermitantly.......

I bought my Cobras on ebay, new and it included a rebate, I paid 59.99, and sent the 30.00 rebate for a total of 19.99..... and have had NO PROBLEMS.......

:)
