A mobility impaired guest will be visiting and staying on property. She needs to use a walker to get from the room to the bus and then to the park. In the park she will renr a wheelchair. Is there a place for her to store the walker for the day while she rents the chair? Btw, how much is chair rental. Thanks

I was made to feel very small & stupid by asking that very same question at Guest Services in MK.

The answer I received was "no".
I hope you get a more positive response! :goodvibes

I would consider renting a wheelchair from offsite and using it as a walker when she wants to walk. The distances at the hotels can be pretty substantial especially at the end of a long day. Also the wheelchair would guarantee a seat on any buses you may take. It is also less expensive.

Yes!YES!YES! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I used Walker Mobility and was very pleased with the product and service.

Another possibility is renting a scooter. We rented for my Mom, and it had already been delivered to the hotel when we arrived. And with the scooter she felt more independent then a wheel chair. She was also able to park it and walk into restrooms and restaurants.

they will not store her mobility aids on site. just rent a chair from off site and use it the entire time. it is less expensive and she probably does not realize how much of a walk it is to and from bus stops. she can always get up out of it and walk using it as her stability aid once in a while

Thanks all. She will likely get a wheelchair and use it as a walker primarily and use it as a chair as needed in the park

I agree with JennyDrake, Walker has been our choice for years. Never a problem, great rates and quality service and equipment.

Is this true now? It's been a couple of years since our last visit but whenever I felt the need to switch from my wheelchair to an onsite ECV I was always able to check my wheelchair right at the same spot where the ECVs were rented. That was a huge advantage I'd hate to lose.
