Walk up list distance

How far away can you be to join the walk up list on the app? I’m staying at Bonnet Creek and if I can’t get a reservation for Steakhouse 71, can I join the walk up list from our resort? TIA

Others can chime in, but my guess is probably not. This is based on my stay at Coronado Springs last month. I tried to get a walk up at a
Coronado Springs restaurant after we left the theme park but it kept saying I was too far until the bus started approaching their parking lot.

No, you will need to be fairly close or even at the resort to join the walk-up list. When we stayed at VGF, we were able to join the walk-up list for Kona, but were, strangely enough, too far away to join the list for Citricos. We had to walk out of VGF and start walking toward GF to join the list - that's how close you have to be.
