Next Sunday :hyper: I'm going to head to MK after getting to ASMu for dinner, Wishes and EHM funtimes. I've got an ADR at The Plaza because I love that place, but I'm thinking about trying to walk up to BOG to try for dinner for one after Wishes. Now that BOG has been open for a short while, what to DISers think?

I tried to get a dinner reservation anytime between Jan 4th and 10th and the first time I tried was December 10th.

I was later told that BOG is completely booked solid for dinner thru June! (or something ridiculous like that!)

I was wondering about walk up reservations also. Even for lunch. We are there on 1/4 and 1/6. Would like to hear if anyone was successful at this.

I would say a walk up would be next to impossible. But since its next Sunday you should keep trying to make a reservation. With the credit card policy in place there anyone who knows they can't go will be canceling around now. You might be able to snag one.

I am not sure if I read your reply right about reservations for lunch?

You actually do not need reservations for lunch....it's considered a counter service with the difference being that your food is served on real plates and delivered to you at your table.

We ate there on 12/11 with a 4:05 reservation booked on that crazy day in August.

Much to my surprise not only was the restaurant NOT full...not even by half....but they were taking walk ups.

I would say if you are not successful to book online or by phone, it can't hurt to try a walk up. I would say maybe go at 4 though to see if a walk up is possible for that night.

You never know, you might stand a chance eating a late dinner. I've been told that ADRs are booked solid for the next 6 months so your chances are probably very slim.

Lunch is counter service, no reservations, all walk up. The day we ate there, we were told they were open til 3:30 for lunch, but the day my friend tried to eat there, the place was closed by 2:30pm.

So do I have this right? You do not need reservations for BOG for lunch? This might be the possible time to snag. Not doing well on either of my days at snagging one online for lunch or dinner.

That is correct. No reservation for lunch. Only need reservations for dinner

That is right. Lunch is a counter serrvice/quick service meal, and dinner is a table service meal. Two seperate menus, but no ADR needed for lunch.

We tried this and were told they were booked solid through May. But was told we could come back on any given day and see if there is an opening, but they said unless you have a reservation that you will probably not get in. I went back to the hotel and made us an reservation in April ironically after being told that, but I guess I was lucky.

I don't know how you would do walking up, but they are not booked solid through May or June, we are currently planning for April, and there were reservations available for each night I looked for them!

We actually had two ADRs when we went from 12/10-12/20. When we walked up to check in for the 2nd ADR on 12/19, the guy remembered us. He started to tell us that he actually had availability for a walk in until we told him we had ADRs again. So it IS possible. :) Best of luck!

i've heard several reports of walk ups and walked up myself on 12/21, so peak season. we were offered a bunch of different times to choose from for the night. my suggestion is to try when they first open. like someone else in this thread said, many of the tables were empty while we were there. FWIW, the food was not good at all. lunch is much, much better

So we are going Jan 5-12 its not only my DD 7th b-day but my 29th as well. We didn't even book the vacation until it was 150 days out (more spur of the moment than last time) but can't get in. I've been checking every day online. I really really want a dinner there. So do you think its possible for walk up?

Bumping this thread to see if anyone recently has had any luck with getting into Be Our Guest by just walking up...

I'm going in September and haven't been able to get a reservation so I'm planning on just walking up between 4 and 4:30...

I say it cant hurt to try but I also wouldn't stop checking. What ended up happening to us is they extended the parks ours for the week we were going only a couple of weeks before our trip. When they did that it opened up an extra hour of reservations. I snagged one for like 9pm (late I know but TOTALLY worth it!!!) Although my kids fell asleep at the table (dd7 and ds8) But they woke up and took some great pictures with the beast before we left and the food SOOOOOoooooooo good. We got our deserts to go and ate them in the room once we put the kids to bed.
