Walk to AKL from AK?

You probably wouldn't want to -- it is not set up to make that an attractive option.

Only if you have a large life insurance policy and name me as beneficiary.

Seriously, though, the Lodge and the park look very close together but they really aren't. There's the VERY busy Oceola Parkway that you will have to cross. Plus the having the cross in front of all the busses that aren't expecting any pedestrian traffic on their road. And there's no sidewalk.

The maximum amount of time you will have to wait for a bus to Animal Kingdom from the Lodge would be 20 minutes. Ten minutes for the bus to get from the park to the Lodge and ten minutes to return to the park.

:rotfl2:

Seriously, as someone else already mentioned, there is no walkway. It's too far to walk on a winding road with alot of blind spots. Too dangerous to attempt by yourself, let alone with a family member(s). The speed limit is 35mph on that road but everyone does well in excess of that (including myself).:rolleyes1

actually it is a very fast bus ride. it is only a mile away. you can even see the akl before you turn to go into ak.

Well, even if there was a walk way, given the size of AK I doubt that you'd really want to walk to AKL after spending the day walking around a very hot and sometimes hilly AK!

We had a very quick and entertaining bus ride from AK to AKL; it was nice to sit too.

I am aware of the following walking options at WDW:

MK - to or from the Contemporary (We did this our Chef Mickey's ADR)

Epcot - Apparently from any of the Boardwalk area resorts

MGM - not sure

AK - none that I am aware of

DTD - from SSR DVC propertry

To add to this:

MGM - from any of the Boardwalk resorts (Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan and Dolphin).

DTD - from Old Key West as well.
