Walk time to Meadows from Cabins?

We are staying in a cabin in October. I was wondering if any of the loops (2100?) are an easy walk to the meadows area? My kids are 5 and 7. We will be enjoying the campfire several times, I hope.

Also, we are planning on riding bikes a lot (versus getting a golf cart). Does anyone have any idea how long of a bike ride it is to the following:

Settlement Area / Marina?
Outpost?

Thanks so much. I love this board for info

If you are bike riding you should be fine. We stayed in the cabins(called trailers at the time) when my kids were very young and found ourselves in the 2700 or 2800 loop. In the August heat it was too much of a walk to the Meadow area. We did wind up renting a golf cart and it made our trip much more enjoyable. We had strollers at the time, and getting on and off the bus with them just to go to the pool was an inconvenience. Are you bringing your own bikes..because if you are planning to rent them, you aren't allowed to keep them overnight. Which again..was an incovenience. Here is a map that might give you a better idea of where things are located. I might add that while you requested the 2100 loop, there is no guarantee that is the one you will receive.

We camped in the 2000 loop when my daughter was 4, 5, 6 and would walk to the Meadows. She didn't mind the walk, it was really enjoyable.

2100 to Meadows is a "do-able" walk. Bike riding anywhere in FtW is very easy and fun. There is an exercise path that connects Settlement Depot to the Wilderness Lodge that is a very beautiful walk. It's about 1 mile long. You can also ride your bike on this path - but no golf carts.

You can do FtW on foot or on bike if you have no health or physical problems.

ya the walk would be a walk from there, but best would be to bike. Its so much fun to just ride around too!:thumbsup2

Agreed, it can be a bit of a walk, and in October, it depends on when you go. If you have cool weather out, not so bad, but if you're walking in 80 degree weather with humidity, you're going to feel it. If you're used to it, no worries, or as Auntie said, if you have a bike, no problem at all!

We stayed in the 2100 loop last May and hoping to get it again in a little over 2 weeks.

My kids were 3 and 5 and we walked to the Meadows quite a few times. Not a big deal. It's a very nice walk.
