Besides the whole Joaquin going crazy thing that happened recently, what did you think of the movie?

I'm just randomly watching movies that come on Showtime or whatever, & I decided to watch this.

It was pretty good, I love Reese. You could just see through the movie how Johnny was getting worse and worse, and then after he 'quit' he was a totally new person.

I don't actually know much about June Carter & Johnny Cash, so I took the movie for what it was. A movie.

Anyway, yeah. Thoughts? What did you think about them doing all their own music? How can someone...learn to sing so quickly?

Walk the Line is an amazing movie.
Love it.

I LOVED the movie.
It made me cry, but I thought it was amazing.
My whole family was a huge fan of Johnny Cash, so I grew to like him too.
His lyrics to songs give me the chills sometimes.

My friend and I watched this while baking a cake. She loves this movie. I thought it was kind of boring :/

I LOVE  this movie. I love it, it was amazing. I personally love them singing. I was a huge fan of Tyler Hilton when the movie came out, and I have some of the songs Reese and Joquin sing on my iPod.

All I could think was;

'Why the hell do they have that jerky guy from One Tree Hill playing Elvis?!'

I'm like a 5 year old in the way that I can't associate him with more than one role. He is 'jerky guy from OTH', not Elvis. Hmph.

But seriously, I loled at the way everyone just referred to him as Elvis. Like it was no big deal at all.

Lol I didn't even notice Tyler Hilton.
I saw the movie for Joaquin.
Ladder 49 = amazing movie.

HAh I HATE Chris soooo much, so it was hard for me to see Elvis.

Chris Keller! That was his name, I totally forgot. Anyway, yeah. But I'm sure Elvis was probably pretty cocky back in the day, so his personality probably fit.

Have you heard that Joaquin is going into the hip-hop industry? I'm sure you have, lol. Any opinions. I had a fit of laughter when I heard that.

Yes. My opinion is "Stick with country Joaquin". That's all I gotsta say about that.

First thing; Joaquin DONT rap. Leave it up to Lil' Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Boosie, Foxx, blahblahblahblah. Please don't turn into another Eminem. Ughh, I absolutely hate white boys that try to act 'gangsta'.

Next, Walk The Line is my favorite movie. I've always been a fan of Johnny Cash. My dad loves him, and my grandfather always tells me stories about when he would go to his concert  I think Joaquin and Reese did an amazing job. Thats both their real voices which I find very impressing. Uhmm, another thing.. if you notice how Joaquin sings with his lips and face movements, and how he hold the guitar.. go to youtube; and search for Johnny Cash, you'll see that, thats EXACTLY how he sang. But as for the movie I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. 2 thumbs up :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

This was on FX Saturday night. I hadn't seen it since I saw it in theaters in December 2005. I love the movie! I thought Joaquin and Reese were great in their roles and really portrayed John and June how they were. It's one of my favorites.

Also, I heard the whole Joaquin "rapping/hip hop" thing is a publicity stunt. I really HOPE that is what it is because he's very talented (as evidenced by this movie) and it would be a shame if his behavior is due to drugs. His brother-in-law Casey Affleck has been following him everywhere with a camera "documenting" what Joaquin is doing so that is leading me to believe it's a hoax.

If Joaquin is serious about music, he should do country. He sang Johnny Cash's songs PERFECTLY. I love listening to his voice. Reese is a good singer too.

^ ITA with like everything there :P

I love the movie. Love the acting, brilliant. The music, fantastic. Inspiring film.

I completely agree. He did Johnny's songs wonderfully.

I personally love Joaquin Pheonix, and I loved Walk the Line, I though he and Reese Witherspoon did a marvelous job at portraying Johnny and June. I wish him all the luck in his new documentary and music career, and I hope that people will lay off of him.

haha i actually started watching one tree hill after i saw walk the line so when i saw one tree hill i was like "ELVIS!!" lol

but anyways love love love love love love walk the line i cry at the end every time i watch it and his breakdown after "time's a-wastin" still freaks me out every time
i love it

I LOVE Johnny Cash's music. In my opinion, he's probably among the top ten songwriters of the past century.

But, that being said, I saw this movie when I was 13, way before I had ever even heard of Johnny Cash, and I remember being really bored and uninterested.
So I need to watch it again, I think.
