Is it easier to walk from MGM to the Dolphin or to take the boats? I’m traveling with 40-year-olds that want to take it easy, but are in pretty good shape. How long does each one usually take and which is best? Thanks for the input!!! :cool1:

When we stay at BWV, which is a lot, we usually take the boat. It would most likely be an addtl 7-8 minutes to S/D. It is a nice easy walk. But, if it's hot/humid/you're tired, then taking the boat is nice also. We would rather be walking than standing in a line, waiting for the boat. So, if there wasn't a very long line and the boat was there, or in sight, we might ride. But, late at night, after park closing...forget it. The lines are huge. By walking you can reach your resort at about the same time if you leave 1/2 minute before the boat does.

Yep, we have usually walked back and forth...and I'm waaay old...mid-fifties.

Geez, they're just 40 and already looking for the easy way? Well, it would always be EASIER to ride the boat. I can't tell you how long it takes but remind your senior citizen friends :goodvibes that exercise can keep them healthy and active as they age.

This 50-something guy would rather walk unless the weather is really bad given it's only about 10 minutes.

The boat was only a little faster than walking. I guess it just depends on how fast you walk. We walked at a moderate pace.
I think we only rode the boat at night. I definitely didn't want to take a chance of running into a snake in the dark. I would have freaked out.
Anyway, if you're doing a lot of walking in the parks you may opt to take the boat. Personally, I prefer to walk since that's added exercise and I don't get my usual workout when I'm on vacation.

What time does the boat service from MGM to the Boardwalk area start operating in the mornings?
