It's simple. Hit the water walking. Somtimes it works, sometimes it don't.

I think I know now. After you exit the last room of the Slide, while the pool room is loading (The black screen) rapidly (VERY RAPIDLY) click somewhere on the pool. I've only done it once so i'm not sure if it works everytime. Be DIScreet about telling people so we can say Dis people are truly magical.

I almost had myself stuck on a "gassing tube" when I came down. Only had it for a couple seconds after I started moving

Mine stayed around until I left the room. Maybe yours wasn't gas, maybe the tube just deflated.

The Water Bug is so awesome! But like all bugs there's a down side. This one give you a chance of being disconnected I just learned. *Sniff* I only got to walk on water for about 10 seconds! Meh, oh well.

I just about died laughing when i saw a guy wearing a stitch hat walkin on the water at the pool. It wasn't that he looked funny or anything....it was just that I thought to myself "Jesus wears a stitch hat!?!"

It is totally random as far as I can tell. If you click on the water as you come down the slide into the pool, you may or may not "walk on water."

There is also the "keep your sled bug" where you float on the water in your little slide vehicle thingy. Good luck, it is fun to try. I got to walk two times and float on my ride thingy "tea" times. Fun for all, at least until VMK "fixes" it.

I also heard using magic (like snowman magic or car magic) before you hit the water works. I can't confirm this.

I was able to keep my float by clicking on the water before I got off the slide.

I did it once yesterday but I don't know how. Later I did try the "use magic before you hit the water" which was next to impossible to do. Then i tried to click on the opposite end of the pool to make me walk as I hit the water and all I got was water up my nose.

Maybe it's your pointy toed boots. Try footwear with more bottom surface like the snow shoes.
