We finally decided to take our first pandemic era trip, and the forecast is rain.....every....single.....day. We went in February 2 years ago and had 80+ and pure sun for all 10 days. Now it's rain for all 8. Coming from the frozen confines of Western New York, this is just depressing.

I understand Florida and rain are usually synonymous, but rain every day for a week straight in February? Is that the norm? All of the built up excitement has quickly vanished thanks to the miserable forecast next week. SEND HELP!

Eh. I am going to be there the same time as you. I just looked at the same forecast this morning. I shrugged.... It's Florida. Rain showers and some scattered t-storms. On the good side it means that the parks will be slightly less crowded. But you know the old saying - if you don't like the weather in Florida, wait 15 minutes.

Like I said, saw the same forecast - there at the same time. It'll be a'right. You'll be fine. Go. Have a great time.

Or if you are not, send me a text and we'll all hang out somewhere underneath a tall building with a few bottles of wine and discuss future trips, LOL.

Seriously though. Don't sweat it. You are DVC. You will be back. There are some really good indoor activities to be had (although granted they are harder to find in a pandemic). Relax. When it rains, take some time to look around at the intricate details of the buildings that you generally just pass by. Take in the atmosphere of what has been built. Look at the new and exciting. Focus on the good. The sun will be back out, but it's an opportunity to see what you never do.

I promise you that if you bring your happiness, Disney magic will find it and make it grow exponentially. If yo bring your sadness though, what you generally find is more of the same.

Rain is not guaranteed. Each day, except for sunday, the chance of rain is less than 50%. Buy a decent reusable poncho and make a plan for when the rain does hit. Take comfort in the fact that less people will be in the parks.

It’s just a forecast. The warmth and higher humidity mix can trigger that forecast. Hope the week isn’t as bad as it looks. The best app I use to track current weather is www.MyRadar.com

And hope you pick your parks right.....serious....we were at MK one day no rain...that same day our friends were soaked at AK...you just never know.
Different trip,,,boys trip we were supposed to golf at Palm and when we got there rain delay,,waited over an hour till we packed it in....Got back to OKW no rain,,called up LBV about times, teed off in 10mins had a great round.
The forcast is just that,,,,I still have not been, I am sure others have, that it has rained out a full day.
Be blessed you are there and not stuck at home.

Florida girl here definitely don’t worry about the rain it never lasts all day and there’s typically always a chance of rain here every day. It will usually be a passing shower at this time of year not the tropical deluges that occur in the summer.

I am having the same dilemma! Rain in Ohio means RAIN. Running around in humid Florida with a poncho stuck to your damp skin sounds terrible. I keep hearing the same as posters above. Storms are quick and will lessen crowds. I really hope it isn't all day long though. We are pushing ahead with our scheduled days. Mostly because dining reservations are GONE and I dont want to scramble.

You both should,,,,,you know you have the same likes,,,,we have been very fortunate to meet some great people thru these boards that we have met at Disney....enjoy

We had a little different experience but we flew in for a trip in 2017 the day before hurricane Irma hit and the 2 days the parks were closed down (I think it was 2 but we originally only planned to go to the parks 1 of those days so I could be misremembering) we had a great time mostly doing what a previous poster commented on about taking in the atmosphere. We were staying at Beach Club though so admittedly there is a lot going on around there. We went swimming in the pool during the pouring rain before they had to call it for everyone. We went to the gym there which I thought was very nice. Played in the arcade. Had a very cheap meal at Cape May which was awesome (I think they were only charging $20 an adult for the buffet). The day after the storm walked all around the Boardwalk and explored Yachte Club, both Swan and Dolphin, and BoardWalk. Probably never would have done all that on our trip without the bad weather so it's as good as you make it.

Didn't it rain on your other trips? It looks like you have been enough times now to know about Florida rain. It is not hurricane season. Enjoy, and double mask.:umbrella:

Now it's rain for all 8.
I've learned to ignore any Orlando forecast that is more than about 36 hours in advance---and even those are iffy. The chances that you will get serious rain for eight straight days are very very low. You might get one rain-out day, but even that is more likely to be a few hours here or there. You are more likely to get cold temps than lots of rain this time of year IME.

The forecast I’m looking at shows chance of thunderstorms everyday, not eight days of straight rain.
Huge difference.

A little off track, but two of the most memorable camping trips I was on was when there were torrential downpours. Very different kind of fun can be had.

Been at Disney when they closed for a hurricane.... still had a great time and crowds are lower when it rains.

Just pack umbrellas, disposable ponchos, and actual rain gear to give yourself options.

Oh and it might make sense to pack one of those towels that will dry really fast or you can ring out to wipe off seats on rides. Maybe even a small plastic bag to throw under your butt.

Chances are you will just see random spurts of storms rolling through.

I can’t tell you how often the forecast has been wrong and either more or less rain, more or less sun, and more or less in terms of temperature

So go, enjoy, and the only thing for sure is it won’t be white!!!!! I can’t wait to go in 2 weeks even if it’s only 2 nights. I am so tired of snow. And we are way below average!!!

It probably won't rain all day. It rarely does in Florida. Just buy some disposable ponchos from somewhere like Target and carry them around with you. We had one rainy day on our last trip and we still had a lot of fun on that day.
