Walgreens Christmas still at 50%. Why?

Is everyone's Walgreen's still at 50% off Christmas?

Usually things move a little faster don't they?

Lots still there.

Mine was as 60% off yesterday. They didn't have much left though. Mostly yucky stuff and even a few things that were broken which I thought was strange.

Mine has been at 75% off since last week and they still have quite a bit left!

I was there last week. I was also surprised it was still at 50% off. In the past it seemed to go 75% off a few days after Christmas. The boxed candy canes were marked way down, I thought that was strange since everything else was 50% off. I was interested in candy, but they didn't have much. My Walgreens didn't have much candy left before Christmas. The buyers must have eased up on the amount of candy they bought. My Target even marks down holiday candy differently. It goes 30%, 50%, 75%.

Ours was only 50% too on Tuesday which I thought was odd. Candy was 75% off but it rang up .50! I bought several bags of mint minis for DD's upcoming Sweet Sixteen candy buffet.

I was at my walgreens a few days ago when they were trying to consolidate the Christmas stuff to make room for Valentine's stuff. The young cashier asked the manager who was directing "When will this go to 75%?" And the manager said, "It's not."

I was like .

Anyway, I was there a couple days later and all the Christmas stuff was gone?? And they had had an aisle full of stuff, so I doubt it all went with it only being 50% off.

Ours is still 50% but there is very little left and I saw them packing up the left over. Maybe they donate the left over?

Alot of the stores boxed up the Christmas stuff for next year to sell at full price. That is what I was told by the cashier at my store.

Mine had lots of signs up that said 50% off. No further reductions will be made. Not anything left even at 50% though. I did get led light sets at Rite Aid for 75% off.

My neighbor works at Walgreens and told me they will not go lower than 50% off this year. (Chicago suburb)

I was told yesterday it will not go lower. They are boxing it up.

I went in our local Walgreens the Tuesday after Christmas and there was nothing left at all. All the Valentine's Day stuff was out. So I'm guessing they must have discounted it deep early.

Ours in Austin are at 75% off so it must be a regional decision. There was mostly candy left, not decorations.

YUMMY!!!! Year old chocolate with the tasty white coating of old chocolate and candy canes. Seriously, hope they are only storing the decorations. lol
