Wal Mart Black Friday Map

I remember last year there was a way to look at the WalMart Black Friday ad online and see where the items will be located in the stores (covered and on pallets). Can anyone remind me how to do that?

I have a "dumb" phone so I cant do that. Where do I go to print out a copy of the map from the website? That is where I am having trouble. I cant remember what I clicked on last year to find it, and Im not seeing it now.

Maybe they'll have maps when it gets closer to Thanksgiving. My mom printed one out last year and I think she couldn't do it until the week of Thanksgiving or the day before.

Wal-Mart is in the process of making it Black Thursday and Black Friday this year. Not sure how that will work in terms of the map(s)

They'll be sales on both days with major sales starting (as I understand it ) at 8 pm on Thanksgiving.

Note previously I posted the sales as starting at 8 am but a kind poster corrected me - my apologies for the confusion!

Yup. A lot of stores have decided family time on Thanksgiving is not important.

I know everyone is excited and that with the current economic conditions money it tight, but I really hate to see the stores making employees come in on Thanksgiving (no I am not in retail). And I still remember when holidays meant quality family time. OK off the soapbox.

I agree with you completely as I have a husband who works retail (his store doesn't do Black Friday), but he also did management in theaters for a long time too, and I think that as much as all of us love Black Friday, me included I would much rather have everyone home with their family a little longer. Now for us in Mass, none of those stores will be allowed to open until Midnight due to Blue Laws.

It IS 8 pm - midnight I stand corrected (and will go fix my post). Sorry dh and I had a miscommunication.

Wal-Mart has been open on Thanksgiving for years - this year they're just moving up the sale (I think because Macys, Sears and Kmart are)

Walmart opens at 8 pm Thanksgiving night, not 8 am. Usually I avoid Walmart at all costs for Black Friday sales, but this year they've got too many things that are on my list for gifts. I hope to get in and out as fast as possible, so I will be watching for the floor maps!

Not being snarky at all, but if you feel it's wrong for companies to provide their services to their customers on certain holidays, just don't take advantage of those companies being open those days. Me? I'm thrilled Dunkin Donuts will be open Thanksgiving, and mildly panicking already that they're closed on Christmas - because I'm working, and I don't know where I'm going to get coffee on my way to work six weeks from now.

And KMart has been open (where allowed) on all day on Thanksgiving for 27 or 31 years.

Now for us in Mass, none of those stores will be allowed to open until Midnight due to Blue Laws.

Possibly even more toward normal operating hours. It's up to the Chief of Police in each city/town .

Respectfully, if you feel it's wrong for retailers to be open on holidays, don't shop those days. Virtually no stores open in my state that day - and I'll be working anyway (shocking, I know...but ya gotta do what...

As a RN, I have had one (yeah, just one) Thanksgiving off in over 14 years. Lots of people have to work during the holidays.

I worked retail when I was in college and I used to LOVE working holidays - time & a half! I still celebrated every holiday I worked - just on a different day. It was never a big deal for me.
