Wake Up!!!!!

I have not slowed down at all. We bought an elliptical 3 weeks ago and I'm a new person. Mark and I work out together after work, he on the mill, me on the ellip then we switch. We are very good for each other and feel GREAT.

I was going to do 30 min yesterday and he shamed me into doing 68 min. I was beat after that but feel a lot stronger.

This Wed we leave for WDW and will try some outdoor jogging/running to see how we do on the pavement.

Did you hear me screaming yesterday????????? I fit in all my shorts that I want to take with me. I was dancing and yelling all by myself :yay:

The challenge on the board really makes me move and when I feel a bit tired, I look at the clock and think, I need to meet my goal so I can post on the boards and lo and behold, I hang on for just a bit longer, crank up the ipod and whoosh I make it.

This is THE place to learn, encourage and achieve our goals no matter if they are losing weight, fitting into jeans or the 10 min mile. We have time left to do it, we'll all be BUFF by January!

I tried to sneak out withiut posting but the weather possum wouldn't let me!

Short term goal is to beat my time from last year in the Minnie weekend 5K.

Losing weight and getting faster are constant goals for me. I have a lot of work to do in both areas.

I don't know about marathon weekend for me, the distance on my feet is still more than my bad knees seem to be able to handle. I am setting my sights on next year's Danskin Tri since I am better in the water and on a bike than I am on foot and I have been wanting to try a tri for a while now. Unfortunately I am too late to get into this year's event but next year is a realistic goal for me.

Short term goals are to just train consistently. Due to my work schedule I have to stick to a 2 day on, 1 day off schedule. I have a tendency to get caught up in the "real world" and let running/biking slide.

I also want to lift 3 x /week consistently.

Long term? Get below 200 lbs (I'm 6'1") and STAY there. That means about 15 lbs. BF% below 18%

Do the 1/2 next january in less than 2:15. That goal may change as the year goes on.

Heck, I guess that means I had better get moving. Now. Bye-Bye.

So glad to say that loosing weight is not my goal this year....

With that said, my goal is to run comfortable 8:30s...and do 8:00 MPM for at least 5 miles.
So I guess I want to get faster. I guess I need speedwork!:scared1:
I also want to get more riding time in and get the LOVE of running back.
I have been kinda BLAH about WOs this Winter.

A kinda long term goal that may never happen.....I want to place in my age group in a race..not win, but place.

Today I'm drawing strength from the rest of you guys and your positive thoughts. I'm trying to not let a bug catch hold that has Erica and Daughter down sick.

The good vibes on here are wonderful when you need a little lift. Another of my goals, one I probably share with everyone here is not to get sick with a flu bug.

Walk/run strong.
