Waivers

Less than 4 minutes. Historically, the half started on 6 minute intervals starting with A wave at 5:35. Likewise the full started at 4 minute intervals starting at 5:35. It's my guess that both races will go off on 6 minute intervals since both races are the exact same course through MK; the point that the race has struggled to clear prior to rope drop when the marathon course passed Main at mile 10.2. With the new course, clearing in time for a quick clean up prior to rope drop is still possible since we clear the park at mile 6.3

I was in G at this years half and by the time we were NEAR the start line, it was "GO!" This caught me off guard, as I thought we'd have a minute or two before we started and I was madly fumbling around with my iPhone to get Runkeeper started! ooops.

Just took a look at my number. It is 6623. First marathon in a couple of years and I am dreadfully under trained. Figure I will go anyway and just have fun with it.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, if I'm in corral E, it will be 16 minutes after the first runners go before I start. Or better said, one more potty break?

Goofy bib # 21652. I submitted a half time of 1:54

DH bib # 51057 for the half with no proof time. I think he submitted a 3:00 finish time. So I will start the half in corral F with him.

Historically, yes, I am thinking they will move to a 6 minute interval this year just like the half, so possibly 24 minutes. One would think they had time for a bladder break and probably do, but E has been on the north bound side of Epcot Dr and once the A waive leaves, all corrals start to waddle to the front.

This link is not the 2013 final instructions but from 2012. The map on p2 shows how they have been set up.

Just adding mine in. I reported a 6 hour estimated time with no proof and got a bib of 13186. My husband reported approximately 4 1/2 hours estimated time but in spite of me bugging him didn't send in proof of time in spite of having a 2:10 1/2 marathon this summer at the hilly Seattle Rock n' Roll. He got bib 7284.

More bib weirdness... My BFF and I are running our first half. We registered the same day, ran the same 10K with finish times 7 seconds apart, submitted proof of time the same day, and she ended up with bib 49xxx and I ended up with 52xxx. So she's in E and I'm in F. Hoping we can talk runner relations into moving me up with her, but if not, we will run in F and be thrilled... since the goal was "not the last corral." LOL!

Your estimated times higher than 245? If so, three is a little luck of the draw involved and the proof of time was not really looked at. Proof is only required for estimated times less than 245. Is there a chance that you two used a different estimated times on the entry form? You can try for advancement but would look for the experience this run.

Good luck and have fun

I *STILL* haven't gotten the official e-mail for the Waivers...

:confused3

I haven't received an email either. Heck, I JUST received my Magical Express documents yesterday and the envelope was all beat up. Luckily the contents were undamaged.

Thanks for the link to the waiver. My bib number for the half marathon is 40712. Based on what I'm reading that moves me into Corral A, I'm super excited as this is my first half marathon.

I ran my first 10k at the end of September to try and get out of the last corrall...I guess it worked. My original time I submitted was 2:15, but they said based on my submitted 10k time, my time was changed to 1:46. In my dreams...:rotfl2:

I haven't gotten my DME package yet either, but last year I received mine just after Christmas I think...
