Waitlists....during Food and Wine Fest

Our waitlist came thru today as well !!! - its for Oct 25th - 30th - we asked for a 1 bedroom for any resort and we got a 1 bedroom at SSR !!!

We are soo excited !!! This will be our first trip home and at our home resort !!!!!

Hopefully someone off the waitlist got lucky today -- I just canceled 10/5-6 at SSR in a 1-bd... I managed to switch in to a 1-bd at AKV for those same dates -- way excited!

No, you're not the only one-I'm still waiting for a BCV studio for the night of 10/24. I added that last night about 3 months ago, and I've been waiting ever since. Fortunately I have a room at VWL, which is nice, but I'd really rather not move just for that one night. I don't have much hope though-BCV is the only resort where my waitlist has never come thru in the past.

I am waiting on a BCV 1 BR 10/1 to 10/3.

Don't think it's going to clear.

I originally waitlisted 10/1 to 10/3 either a studio or 1 BR at BW or BC. Cleared BW 1 bedroom and updated the list. That was in June or so and I called to check yesterday ... nothing!

I can't do the 7 day call thing because we will be on a cruise, but I may try when I check in. (I have had success at BW in the past calling day by day FROM the room for that night LOL!)

My mom is waitlisted for a studio at OKW for Nov. 5-6. She got it for Nov. 7-8. She got on the waitlist in mid July. If it doesn't come through, it will be ok because she can stay with us in our one-bedroom but she doesn't want to do that. Hoping it will come through soon!

We got our waitlist for Saturday, 10/11 at the BWV (1 bedroom - Pool/Garden). Not sure exactly when it came through. Last time I checked was on Thursday morning.

That frees up a 1 bedroom (near the HH) at OKW.

I'm just a tiny bit sad - would have liked to try out OKW, but I am glad we won't have to change resorts for that last night.

P.S. Feeling lucky, so called this morning to get on the waitlist for a 1 bedroom standard view. That way we won't have to move for our last night. Hope it comes through even though it means 5 points go into holding if it does come through. I'm sure we won't use those, but I am willing to "pay the premium" to stay in the same place all 7 nights.

P.S. again. Got right through even though I called a few minutes after opening. No time on hold at all, just the menus. Guess the busy time is done for now.

My mom's waitlist for a studio at OKW for Nov. 5-6 came through today! Now, she won't have to stay with us in our one-bedroom. She has a studio for Nov. 5-9 now! So waitlist can come through in the 30 day period!

Our waitlist for 10/26 thru 11/01 came through today!! I already had a 2BR and 2 studios for OKW and needed to add a 3rd. Called 8/04 and waitlisted. Had SSR booked in case, but only for 5 of the 6 nights I needed. Today I checked the member site (as I do 3 times a day!) and tada...we are all staying in the same place!

and I cancelled a BCV studio for November 3-5 not long ago. Combination of lack of food and wine events and no Adventurers Club meant I didn't need a week long trip after all. So it does happen.

I booked my first 3 BWV weekday nites in April, waitlisting one night - it came thru in June. Added one more nite in August and it came thru about 10 days ago!!!

My F&W wait list came through -- sort of.

We were booked in a studio at OKW for 11/7 & 11/8 (reservation made in September), waitlisted for a studio at BWV or BCV. Checked the website one day a few weeks ago and guess what ...

We got our waitlist - BWV 1 BR! At the time, I didn't know whether to celebrate or cry - we didn't want and don't need a 1BR, but we've decided to suck up the loss of our points and enjoy the fact that we'll be so close to Epcot. It's only me and DH for 2 nights -- so if anyone wants to come use our washer/dryer or cook in our kitchen, let me know!

I couldn't determine if it was MS fault or if it was possible that I wasn't clear enough myself when I waitlisted (another problem with not seeing the waitlists online), so what are you gonna do? I'm in a serious points deficit now, though.

Our waitlist came through for F&W at the BCV but we didn't find out unitl we were checking in at the BWV!

The funny thing is a week after arriving home from the trip we received a confirmation letter in the mail with the new resort on it. The date on the letter was September 12. We left for WDW/DCL cruise on September 25 (checked into the BCV/BWV on October 4). Why the letter showed up about a month later is beyond me.

We had fun though!

We have always had good success with the waitlists. We regularly switch out at the 7 month time frame for the very busy last week fo Food and Wine. Next year may be different as the daily waitlist will no longer be available.

Glad to hear that so many are having success with their waitlist in the last few weeks. As the DIS certainly is a small section of overall DVC members this must mean that overall waitlists can work. Of course it would be nice if they came through earlier but I guess we can't have everything.

Hope everyone has a great vacation. We still have two weeks left to go for ours....
