Waitlisting for more than one resort

Question: Have the new policies on waitlisting affected my ability to waitlist for more than one resort at a time? We take the first one that becomes available, etc?

from what i understand, it would have no affect on waitlisting for more than one resort... but it would limit you if you wanted to waitlist at more than 2 resorts. you only get 2 waitlist choices and that's it.

if you waitlist at AKV and BCV, and OKW or BWV has an opening, you would still have to wait until something became available at AKV or BCV.

Well, that's good. Two choices are more than enough for me!

Does the reservation change automatically, or do you still have to confirm with Member Services before they change it?

not sure. i was told to expect the change to be automatic when i waitlisted last year...but MS did call me to confirm prior to switching me.

(so i'd expect them to make the change automatically if something is available, but don't be too surprised if they do call.)

The only time it's a "bad thing" is when it comes to views, etc.

For instance, you can't just waitlist for "any" studio at BWV, you have to pick a view. Since there are 3 views, you can only waitlist for 2 of them, even though you would be willing to take any of the 3 views if they became available.

I am currently waitlisting at 2 resorts for late march. As of yet they have not come through. Any idea what resorts are easier for just a studio? Don't say SSR that is where I am trying not to stay. Gotta try some other places....

Wouldn't your waitlist be cancelled now because it's within 30 days of your trip dates? I thought that was the default policy if you don't tell them something different. Or maybe I'm confused and it's 7 days?

Last month when we waitlisted they asked me if I wanted to say on it until 30 or 7 days before

They give you the option....so I said waitlist up to 7. Can you check your position on the list??? You might be higher up but its got to get harder the closer you are to your dates right?
