Waitlisting a Monday...Odds?

Thanks to the new 2011 charts, I have a few points I can borrow from next year, so I decided to add a night to the end of my reservation. Two issues that could pose a problem...I need a value studio(AKV) and it's a Monday. I need it for the Monday which also happens to be the second day of free dining in August. Do I have a prayer?

I think that the free dining will actually work in your favor... people may cancel their trip on points and go for free dining...

but the AKL "value" studio makes this a much harder WL to get... not saying impossible, but best of luck...

I think you're problem is not going to be FD, but the # of value studios and the fact that "cheap rooms" tend to book up fast(you're a BWV owner, what's the toughest villa cat. to get there?).

I've been able to get value studios, and once, a year ago in December, it was the ONLY DVC studio accomodation for one Sunday stay. Waitlist if you have to, I hope you get it!

Yes I am and very slowly at that! Yes, thought the # of rooms available would work against me.

You have such great luck with WL! I think I'll book my air going down and wait awhile for that return air in hopes I get that WL.... Patience is not one of my virtues....

I called today to add the BCV day and drop the first night of my BLT stay. The day I dropped...a Monday (August 2nd). So, changes happen and it is possible someone else will need to drop a Monday too.

I'm going as a guest of family for 2 nights, and thought it would be best to let DCuz and me each have our own bed for the 3rd night. How great that I won't have to change resorts...so won't even have to change the ME reservation.

We have a trip planned for June and only booked Mon-Thurs. I am waiting to book the Sun since we are not sure if we are going. I need to borrow the points for the sun only so if i book it and cancel I would have to keep the points in my use year for 2009 which means I would have to use them by Aug of 2010 and I know if we go this summer it would only be in June. I am hoping that if we go I can get my other nite. I have a back up. I have the nite at Carribbean Beach if need be.
I hope since other people change and canel I will be able to get my Sun nite. Only thing is that it is a standard 1 bedroom at Jambo. So I'm not too sure. I may be changing to OKW since the extra nite may be alot easier to get there.
