Waitlisting a Grand Villa- Thoughts? Advice?

I waitlisted two individual nights last week for a GV at BLT (lake view) for a weekend in January (not marathon). Wondering if anyone has had success with the waitlist system for GVs since there are so few of them. Of course, I am also stalking! Wondering what's the likelihood it might come through. MS said 85% chance but that seems like a made up statistic to me, ha!

There is no way to know. As you posted, there are a limited number so the odds are against you. Lets say that someone who booked does cancel, you may be third on the waitlist.

Hard to say. We are cruising right after Thanksgiving so I wait listed a GV at AKL Jambo house for one night. Forgot about it because I did not think I have a chance at all. Lo and behold it came thru! I've decided not to tell my family there are 8 of us. Can't wait to see their faces when they walk in

Just wanted to update everyone. I've been stalking non-stop and haven't seen a GV at BLT open up for the desired nights. I saw one of the nights open up in a GF GV, so I picked it up and then waitlisted the one missing night about 3 weeks ago. I also kept the other BLT GV waitlist. Happy to report the 1 night waitlist at the GF GV came through about a week ago!!! Score for the waitlist!

We stayed at a VGF GV in September and left early due to Irma. DH nearly had to drag me out of the GV kicking and screaming. It. Is. Beautiful.
