Waitlist ?

Just put my name on a waitlist for BWV - 2 Studios for a Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Nov. What is your experience with waitlist? Do you think I have any chance at all of getting the 2 rooms? Thanks for any info.

We were waitlisted last year for 3 days of our 8 day trip for a 2 bdrm at BCV. We got all the days.

If you waitlisted for a preferred view room, I think your chances are pretty good. If you're waiting for a standard room, it could be tougher. Do you have a backup ressie somewhere else in case BWV doesn't come through?

You must want thanksgiving week for you not to get a studio.I have never had problems getting rooms for non holiday weeks.

Thanks to all for your encouraging words. When establishing the waitlist - I told MS that I would take either a preferred or a standard view - didn't matter at this point.

My waitlist is for the weekend following Veterans Day. Not a big holiday, like Thanksgiving but it is also the last week of the Food and Wine Festival.

Yes, I have back up reservations (CASH ressies) at Coronado Springs. I only wanted to use points if I could get in the BWV (since I am borrowing them from next year).

Any idea how long it usually takes to hear on a waitlist?

What is the latest that they would fill the request - 30 days out?

Should I call and check on status, if so how often?

There's no way to know. You'll just have to hope that enough people's plans change to accomodate your request.

According to the most recent Members Guidebook:

Your request will remain on the waitlist for up to 31 days before your arrival date. If youi'd like to keep your name on the waitlist beyond that time, please contact Member Services.

There is no waitlist within seven days of your arrival date.

I'd call at the 31 day mark and ask to be kept on the waitlist. Seven days ahead of arrival, I'd call daily to see if something came through.
