We are still waiting for our waitlist to come through. I think this is the second or third time waitlisted only for it not to happen! I think the week of May 15-22 is going to be very busy!

You know, I've been told that 85% of wait lists are fulfilled, but I've never had one go through! Oh well!

Well, we still have a little over a month, but I won't hold my breath. I have been told almost all DVC units are gone for that week! Also, have been trying to get ressies at Le Cellier with not luck either!

I think a lot of WL's come through when other DVC members switch at the 7 month mark. And other WL's come through in the last few weeks when Disney hasn't been able to get cash reservations for their villas. You didn't mention the resort you were wait listed for and that could be a big factor. BCV is one of the hardest to get as it is very small (208 rooms) and very popular.

Two of the most popular resorts. I'll keep hoping for you. We just had a WL at BWV come through for us in October at BWV. We were shocked since it's during F&W. Since it our first WL and we got the reservation we figure that for the next 20 years we'll never get another.

I don't know of any special events going on during mid May so don't know why it's so popular other than it is a cheaper point season than during spring break and summer. Maybe all of the Floridian DVC members book during that period to beat the summer heat. Although it can be pretty hot and humid in mid May as well. So I'll stick with my answer of "don't know why".

We are booking a trip for next May. I will book in June at BLT at the 11 month mark. Can I then waitlist and see if I can get a res. at say BWV at the 7 month mark but still keep the BLT res in case it doesn't come through???

We already have two trips for this year. Our first is in a couple weeks. Can't wait.

Nancy ...Yes that is exactly what you should do. If the waitlist doesn't come through, then you have your original reservation to fall back to. Otherwise youmight find yourself shut out alltogether.

That's what I thought. Another question. Say we book a one bm at BLT but then want to get a studio at BWV. What happens to the extra points? Do they go back into your acct. I think I remember that you then would have to use them by a certain time or lose them. Not the same as banking them...right??

They would go back in your account as long as the wait list is filled more than 31 days before your check in. If you wait list for something with LESS points, you want to have it cancel at day 31 so you don't end up with holding points.

And, if you are still within your banking window when the wait list fills, then you can still bank those points. That would be the only other thing to consider.
