Waitlist

I'm waitlisted for 3 nights Dec 20-23 for a studio at BCV, how long should I wait it out before I switch to an OKW or SSR?

If you don't have anything booked right now and plan on going, I would take whatever is available IMMEDIATELY.

You're trying to book a very popular time period (December just before Christmas), reportedly the most in-demand room size (Studio) at one of the smallest / most sought-after resorts (BCV). I don't think you have much chance of getting BCV and I would certainly take whatever is available before THAT is also gone.

Go ahead and book at OKW and SSR and stay on the waitlist. If it comes up, they will automatically make the change for you.

FWIW, everyone always tells me that we will never get our waitlist (due to time of year or whatever the issue) and we have always gotten it. Sometimes we go right down to the wire and it comes through just a day or two before we leave, but we do get it. But again, reserve SOMETHING now so you won't be homeless. Then you can always be pleasantly surprised if/when your waitlist comes through.

thanks Erika, I know it is always doom and gloom and so far I've been lucky. I've never waitlisted, but I have ALWAYS gotten my room at the 7 month window. I'm booking this one for a friend so it was inside the 7 month mark.
