Waitlist with partial availability

That's not good to hear! I did get lucky late yesterday afternoon to snap May 2 at VGF and cancelled the waitlist - another data point that waitlist isn't always as good as constantly checking! So we've now just got May 3 on wait list and have otherwise all nights before and after booked (booked May 4-6 at 8am Eastern today!). I'm hopeful given that we are 11 months away, that one single night May 3 waitlist will come through! Fingers crossed... Best of luck to you too!

Thank you! I booked a resort studio at the Grand (instead of BLT, RIV or AKV) & am happy with the change … it’s crazy to me that BCV still has rooms for May 2-4 given it’s walkability to HS, but the other resorts don’t. (The plot thickens! )

Thanks this is the newbie guidance I need! I cancelled my Copper Creek, booked 3 of 4 at Bay Lake and waitlisted the middle night. Fingers crossed. And if I fail, January is wide open!

Another waitlist question here. I waitlisted a night smack dab in the middle of our stay.I am going to need to borrow points for this but when I waitlisted this I did not say yes to that option, Now it says if I cancel the waitlist, I cannot reinstate the waitlist. Is this true ? Of course I will be obessively stalking the website, it is for a BWV standard studio first week of May!

Thanks! May 2nd is now available again at VGF for DVC studio. 3rd and 4th are showing full now instead of 2nd and 3rd. We've got a resort studio booked for the 3rd which ist set to cancel if the deluxe studio waitlist comes through. We much prefer the DVC studio since we don't want a permanent second bed taking up the extra space plus I'll need that to link the rest of our reservation . We are doing EBTA cruise just after and aren't star wars fans, so also have not thought of May 4th

I don't think there's a way to reinstate the waitlist if you cancel it. If you're very certain that this night in the middle of your stay will come through, can you potentially change another confirmed night to borrowed points to make sure you have enough current UY points for the waitlist?

You can’t get it back. You’d need to set up a new one. But, chat or call MS and have them note that you authorize borrowing now and you won’t lose your place in line.

I called MS right at 9am today to get this taken care of. While I was on the phone, the agent told me my date was available ( I had literally just checked before calling !). So he added my missing day, merged all my dates( without me even asking!!) and took my room request. I could not be more pleased! Wishing you all the same success ! And as always huge shoutout to Sandisw for always knowing what to do with DVC !!

Something that has worked for us is to WL the last two nights of our vacation. If we get the last two nights filled we will then WL one night at a time backwards from the filled nights.
