Found out during a phone call Friday that our waitlist for late October came through for VWL. I had a stnd view one bedroom at BW for 10/24-10/29 so if you were waiting on that one...congrats!! (and use it in good health!).

Odd thing was I was calling with questions on AP purchase, had the agent check on the waitlist and was told "yes, you have a match" but she said I should not expect to see it appear on the member website for a few days (since someone had to manually go thru the list of matches and switch them over). Strange since I assumed a computer program would just take care of this automatically, not someone sitting at a desk working on waitlist matches day in and day out.
Oh well, I'm happy 'cause we swapped for 8 nights in a VWL studio...and I'm certain someone else is happy they got BW One Bed Stnd View for F & W!:cool1:

Now off to change my ticker...

Yes, I think this was win-win for both parties! Enjoy VWL, that's where I'm staying in December! (Well, 3 places (by choice), but VWL's one of them!):goodvibes

well when used the wait list have generally gotten what i wanted - the one exception seems to be BLT.

congratulations - love VWL! although going from a 1-bedroom to a studio - you won't miss the extra space.

Thanks, this was the first time I tried a waitlist. When I booked the one bedroom (at exactly 11 months out) our plans were not finalized. We went that week last year since it falls during our state teacher's convention, giving the kids Thursday and Friday off. My 13 yr old decided he did not want to miss a whole week of hunting (and 3 days of school now that he will be in Junior High, although I think the first reason weighed more heavily in his decision!), my husband was all too happy to use that week of vacation to hunt (we live in central Wis, it's hard to explain the "hunting" mentality so I won't even try!)

Since it looked like it was only going to be my 10 yr DD and me, I knew we would be spending most of our time at MK (with MNSSHP and 2 late night EMHs that week). Yes, we would have more space in the one bedroom at BW but I was willing to trade that for a boat ride away from MK (rather than a bus with possible stops at Swan/Dolphin/Yacht & BC)...soooo I threw my hat in the ring for VWL. I know BLT is closer, but we were just there this spring and we all really enjoyed VWL when we were there last year.

Either way, I knew we would be pleased. :lovestruc (and we will be back at BW for Spring Break 2011 with all 4 of us)
