Waitlist question

I currently have reservations for two 2 bedroom villas for a 7 day stay but really need one of those to be a lock off which I went ahead and waitlisted.
My current reservation eats up most of my points.
How does it work when the waitlist come available? I just want to switch it to a lock off.
I hope I’m being clear.

When you set up the waitlist you can tell it to replace one of the reservations if it matches.

If you didn't do that when you created the waitlist, you can contact member services and ask them to apply that note to the waitlist.

Just to add on since it should be the same number of points you can do the 7 day waitlist instead of 31 days as there should be no issue of points going into holding.
