Waitlist question

If you have a room waitlisted which is set to replace an existing reservation and then you modify that existing reservation does the waitlist still know to replace the new reservation? Not sure if I need to make a new waitlist or just leave the current one as is? I wouldn’t want to create a new one and lose my theoretical spot in the waitlist queue if I didn’t need to. TIA!

I’m not sure, but it drops the reservation to be replaced and does not list the new reservation. When I was in this situation, I reset the WL. It’s not optimal, but I didn’t want a less than stellar CM messing up my points which would have been borrowed.
