Waitlist Question

I'm slowly trying to add days to my Beach Club reservation by doing single day waitlists. I currently have two days at AKV and two days at Beach Club. My question is, I have a one day wait list for Beach Club, and if it comes through, I want them to replace the second day of my AKV reservation, but still keep the first day. Will they be smart enough to do this? I didn't want them to replace the whole reservation, so I didn't put my check in day, I just put in the day I want them to replace.

Did I do this right? Should I just call them and ask them to put a note on the waitlist?

Also, you can imagine how over the moon I was this afternoon to find that my second day of Beach Club came through via waitlist. I've been stalking the RAT since my seven month window opened and haven't seen a single Beach Club room appear for any of my days. It's for Columbus Day weekend so my hopes were pretty low, but it came through! Now I'm super curious if I can piece together the whole thing.

The finalization of waitlists requires human intervention and mistakes are made. They should understand what you indicated but asking for a note to be added may re-emphasize. However, there's still no guarantee that a mistake won't be made and both nights replaced by the one night.

If I have the points available and are attempting something like this I far prefer to do a waitlist without replace and then if it fills I call MS and have them cancel the night it replaces off the existing reservation.
