I don't waitlist very often - since we usually plan so far ahead, but we are wanting to add a night at WDW after a trip to VB in October. I've looked for the night and nothing is available. I'll take a studio just about anywhere, but you must waitlist for a specific resort & room type right? There's no way to waitlist more than one resort for one night is there?

Sorry to ask such basic questions - like I said, I rarely ever use the waitlist option.

Yes, you have to waitlist a specific resort/room size/view(if applicable). You can have up to two waitlists active at once during a use year.

For the best chance of getting a studio use your 2 waitlists for 1- studio at SSR, 2- OKW not HH area. These are the 2 largest categories of rooms so you are most likely to get on of these. You can also keep checking for your date online.

I agree although the best chance of success is for a 1 BR rather than a studio. OP, once you get something, you can always turn around and wait list something you might prefer.

Okay - if I make two waitlists for the same night - and one gets filled (fingers crossed) do I have to go in and cancel the other waitlist or is it automatically cancelled since it's for the same night? I realize this is unlikely - but I won't always remember to check daily during busier times of the year and the points for this waitlist will have to be borrowed. I wouldn't want two sets of points for the same night to be borrowed.

I realize I am an optimist about having my waitlist filled:cheer2:

automatically canceled.

Okay - I've been checking the availability 3 X a day along with having a waitlist for the night at our ideal resort (BCV - yes I know it's unlikely;)). This morning, I could get a studio at SSR for the night we're looking for and I booked it. I want to keep the waitlist for the one night at BCV, (why not try?). If I got lucky and got BCV - will it automatically cancel my night at SSR that we've booked?

Again, sorry for so many questions; I'm just not a waitlist pro!

If you set it up to cancel, then yes it will. If you are not sure, give MS a call and make sure its set that way!

I did not set it up that way because I had no reservation to cancel when I initiated the wait list. I'll give MS a call tomorrow and have it set up that way- thanks!
