Waitlist Question

Quick question: I am currently on a waitlist, if the waitlist request becomes available but I do not have enough points in my current UY to cover it, will MS automatically borrow the difference from Next year's points?

They should.

But if it were me, I'd call and make sure that the waitlist is set up to do that - I'm thinking there should be a note or something on the request that indicates it is OK to borrow.

Thanks, I just got off the phone with MS and they said a comment was needed to Borrow points should the waitlist become available.

I have always mentioned from which resort to borrow if the waitlist comes through. It's worked for me.

I was on the waitlist for July 15th, when I called MS to ask a question I asked about my waitlist and she told me it came through, I thought Great. Then she asked me if I wanted it because she had to borrow the points for it and cancel the standard view, I asked her to make sure it was available before she cancelled the standard view. She told me it was available it just wasn't applied yet because the points had to be borrowed. So I told her yes I want it, no harm done I recieved it but what would have happened if I didn't call?
It was noted to borrow the points and from where,{I thought it was anyway, I did tell them and they did repeat it to me the day I made my reservations} I guess it could have just came through the day I called, but I didn't ask, to be on the safe side I would call MS a few times and just ask if it came through. Better safe then sorry.
