Waitlist question

I am planning my first trip home to AKV. I have booked a SV Studio for May 3-10, but I really wanted a Conceirge studio for the same time frame. So I waitlisted it. Any idea of my chances for getting what I want or it is a roll of the dice? I am OK with the SV studio, but I really wanted to do the Sunrise Safari for my DD's birthday

As I'm sure you know, there aren't many concierge villas, just FIVE 2BR lockoffs total. Assuming one or two of them are rented as 2BR units, that leaves maybe just three studios and three 1BRs. Since the booking window for those rooms opened in June it's not surprising they are already gone.

Having said that, sometimes people do cancel even hard to get reservations like this. A month ago, I cancelled an early May reservation for a Concierge Studio. I guess somebody else already grabbed those nights. But I mention it just so you know that cancellations do happen. And I was able to rebook for other dates around that same time, to my great surprise.

Good luck! And if it doesn't work out this time, as an AKV owner you will be able to try again, hopefully right at the 11-month window next time.

We are booked at a Savannah Studio too for that same time (actually May 4-9) and are waitlisted Concierge too. I am hoping that people will change at the 7 month window.

After reading some of the responses, I called back. A studio conceirge was available for the last two nights of my stay So I booked those. At the very least I have SV for the first part of our trip and conceirge the last two nights. Sunrise Safari here I come. I am still on the waitlist for the first half.
